What a combo this week: Fred Couples and John Daly. Two of my favourite golfers of all time. You won't find their swings anywhere else, and the beauty is that they're paired together for 3 days down in Naples at the annual Merrill Lynch Shark Shootout hosted by Greg Norman's Tiburon Golf Club. Two completely opposite personalities, yet both have managed to get the job done on Tour for 20 years, with 3 majors and millions of dollars between them. (albeit most of JD's cash has gone to 4 ex-wives)I can't help but be little jealous as my cousins are most likely caddying in the tournament... probably drinkin' at Pelican Larry's on Immokolee Rd. with JD right now!
After Day 1, they sit in last place at -2. Austin/Calcavecchia and Sluman/Funk are tied for 1st at -8.
