Hollywood meets pro sports, Immelman has surgery, 3rd time's a charm for G-Men

This is what happens when Hollywood gets tangled up with professional sports. It seems like Jessica Simpson is somehow interconnected with a variety of people around the sports/music/movie scene. It all started with her Newlyweds show with hubby Nick Lache. Then she was apparently 'involved' with Jackass' Johnny Knoxville while married. Divorce was obviously the next step. Her body was John Mayer's wonderland for a little while. Finally, she's ended up with Tony Romo. Good for her. I find it pretty shameless that she's kinda wiggled her way into the spotlight again, when in reality, she should be cast off into oblivion forever. I was hoping Terrell Owens wasn't joking when he told Simpson to go fill her hat.

South African Trevor Immelman had surgery today to remove a growth on his diaphragm. The '06 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year withdrew from the South African Airways Open last week after noticing some discomfort in his ribcage. He'll be out of action for about 2 months. (PGA Tour.com)

When New York Giants tight-end Jeremy Shockey broke his fibula last Sunday, he became the 3rd Giant this season to break that exact bone. He needs surgery, so he's gone for the rest of the season. Linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka and running back Derrick Ward are also sideline-bound 'til the '08 campaign.
