This story is straight outta the ridiculous-file.
The ATP suspended 31st ranked Potito Starace and 258th ranked Daniele Bracciali on Saturday for making bets on matches. The max wagers they made totalled a couple hundred dollars. Peanuts. While the Italian Tennis Federation is calling this an 'injustice', the questions remains: why would these low-level tennis players make bets on their own sport when they know there's been a whole bunch o' speculation about match-fixing.
Here's the best part: their combined fines totalled $50,000. That'll teach ya for makin' a $3 bet! Wow... (TSN.ca)
