The Ducks have traded C Andy McDonald to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Doug Weight. Weight, who's 45 points shy of 1000 will likely move into the 2nd line center role, as McDonald and his next year salary of $3.3 million is too rich for Anaheim, especially with restricted free agent Corey Perry up for a hefty raise. For some reason, Chris Simon is still allowed to play in the NHL. He's been suspended 6 times in his career, including a 25-gamer last year for a vicious slash on the Rangers' Ryan Hollweg. It looks like Bryan McCabe is going to miss a few months with a broken hand. Breaking 3 bones in his left hand after being thrown into the boards by Habs forward Andrei Kostitsyn, McCabe is expected to miss upwards to 6 to 8 weeks.
