Just your everyday drive-by

In any other sport, I'd call this an interesting story. But, since it's the NBA, something like this happens almost as often as Britney Spears pumps out kids. According to the Indy Star, the Indiana Pacers have decided not to punish point guard Jamaal Tinsley for his involvement in a shooting in downtown Indianapolis late Saturday night. Tinsley and his posse were cruisin' the streets of Indy in Tinsley's Benzo, Rolls Royce and Dodge Charger after leaving the club 'Cloud 9' when they were shot at repeatedly by unknown assailants.

The troublesome Pacer claims he was just out "to have fun and made a mistake, again." I guess flaunting your half-mil worth of whips is not a good idea in the slums of Indy. But you're right Jamaal, you've made some mistakes in your career, that's for sure. He's already facing charges from a bar fight in Indy last year, and was one of the participants in the Malace at the Palace against Detroit back in '04. With the recent shooting death of Washington Redskins defensive back Sean Taylor, it just makes you wonder what the hell is goin' on in these guys' heads. The way I see it: too much money, too fast, to the wrong people.

Here's a good article from the New York Post claiming Tinsley was a marked man.
